TOP OF THE WORLD

The tallest mountain of all, the top of the world.This means there is no other place in the world higher than this.It lies in the foothills of the Himalayas.Bordered by Tibet in the north it lies in Nepal. It reaches up to the height of 8848 meter from sea level,height: 29,028 feet, or 5 and a half miles above sea level. This is equivalent to the size of almost 20 Empire State Building .It is always covered with snow and feeds the ever flowing rivers of Nepal.It is destination many of the climbers and scenery lovers. The first human step in this height of 8848 meter of Sir Edmund Hillary in 1953.It has also been discovered that the Himalayan Mountains are still growing higher, at a rate of about 2.4 in/6.1cm per year. A growth rate of 2.4 in/6.1cm per year doesn’t sound like very much, but if you think about it. It is approximately 60 million years old.Twenty-nine degrees north and eighty-seven degrees east, mainly on Nepal, sits the tallest mountain on the face of the Earth, Mount Everest. The vast amount of snow on the mountain’s side is one of the cause dangerous of avalanches which is the most fear of the climbers. Its height, massive size makes it one of the world’s Seven Wonders.

A MANGROOVE FOREST WITH HEART

We're way above the earth, high above three rivers flowing making their way to the sea.
But what what are the rivers flowing through?And what is that strange looking heart?
We're looking down on a mangrove forest,often found in tropical regions. As warm rivers water nears the ocean, the shallow,muddy shoreline becomes a perfect growing place for thousands of mangrove trees .The trees thrust upward , fighting for light ,while under the water ,among the dark roots ,swirls of fish, snakes and crocodiles hunt .
The mangrove forest is always changing . The heart is natural clearing -a place where the ground is slightly higher ,which causes the salt water to evaporate faster. The sand is saltier in these high spots ; vegetation cannot grow here. But because nothing stays the same for a long in the mangrove forest, the heart could be gone in a year, or ten years, leaving nothing we recognize except the thick green growth.

A LONE SHADY SPOT

At first almost seems to be a web with green ball in its center.But the center is really a single tree ,growing in very dry ,isolated landscape.
The tree (an acacia ,a tree with deep roots) is growing in a section of a national park in Kenya .A national park is a large area set aside by a country to protect the space from .... humans! Here there is no hunting , no digging no building of houses. The park is guarded by rangers,who make sure the park rules are observed by the visitors.
And many visitors come , mainly to see the wild animals in their natural settings. Because the acacia affords shade, it is a favourit spotting place for animals -and it is the animals that ,by moving back and forth on their paths ,have created a reddish 'sun rays' that seem to flow out from the beautiful single tree.

CLODS OF COTTON

This man isn't on a king sized cauliflower. We're looking down on a huge number of bales of cotton.
A cotton plant,like all plants , produces seeds. Each sees is surrounded by a long,silky fibers.
In the wind, these fibres would help the seed soar into the air and find a new place to grow.But when cotton is planted and harvested by people ,workers pick the seeds . Then they collect the thread -entwined seeds in bales ,each composed of many,many soft balls of cotton.
The bundles look like they are wrapped inside a giant green leaves. But the 'leaves' are really squares of plastic tied at the four corners . Soon the bales will be transported to cotton gins , where the cotton fibers will be seperated from the seeds and twisted together to make long and strong threads .And those threads will be used to make our clothes. It all starts here.

PENGUINS PREPARE FOR A PLUNGE

The place shown in the image is of the Antarctica where there is six months of darkness and six months of light. The penguins are highly adapted for these kind of regions . They hunt for their food under the water.They are the only birds in the world that can walk like a man. Their care for the young ones are like in humans. penguins are adapted for this kind of climate and conditions.Although they are some what slow on land they are great swimmers. This video will show their well adaptation in such extreme climate of Antarctica.

TERRACED FEILDS FOR FARMING MAIN CROP

The design crafted ,shown here is not in a piece of a paper or just in drawings. The landscape here is crafted by the villagers and the farmers for planting their main crop rice. Rice is the main crop of Asia and it almost grown by every farmer in the field . The picture taken is from the top of the site here and it gives the amazing view of the place . This site as irrigated and growing place for the plants becomes very difficult to construct. In fact it is not just like common terraced rice fields. They are ploughed for the main food crop and cash crop of the continent Asia.The picture of such a beautiful site is taken from its top which makes it look even beautifully crafted. The greenery and the pattern speaks it all. The hily areas of Asia are sowed in this simillar way.

THE TALE OF THE WHALE'S TAIL

The image from the mid Atlantic ocean perhaps may be once in a life time view of a whale diving deep after a breathe .Whales actually come up to water surface every 2-3 hours they take a long breathe and again dive deep in search of food . They eat plankton.They are only the mammal which is completely adapted in water.The image shows the whale's tail which is larger than a medium sized boat. They care for their calf.The whales are found all over the earth oceans but now due to poaching and hunting it for various proposes is reducing it to smaller numbers.It is main problem in water which is affecting the water ecosystem . We are destroying its habitat ,food etc . people fear o whale because of its large body size .Usually they don't harm us if they are left undisturbed.
